Our Mission

Here, we explore how people think, feel, and behave in today’s changing world, and aim brings together researchers and practitioners from a range of disciplines to study human life from multiple perspectives.

At the Charles Darwin Centre of Human Studies (CDCHS), our mission is to expand the reach of psychological research by facilitating knowledge exchange, building research capacity, and connecting local questions with global scientific conversations.

We aim to support researchers, students, and communities to conduct high-quality, inclusive, and impactful research that reflects the lived experiences, cultural context, and mental health priorities of the region.

We uphold rigorous, transparent, and ethical research practices. Our work is grounded in sound methodology, reflective of current scientific standards, and open to critical reflection.

Inclusion

We engage a wide range of participants, collaborators, and perspectives. We aim to reflect the complexity of human experience across contexts, disciplines, and cultural backgrounds.

Relevance

We are committed to communicating our research findings in ways that are meaningful to the communities, practitioners, and institutions who can benefit from them.
