Brendan Ch'ng, Ph.D

Dr. Brendan Ch’ng is a Malaysian-based researcher and Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Sunway University. He holds a PhD from the University of Malaya in Malaysia and a Master of Education in Gifted Education from Monash University, Australia. Dr. Brendan’s research focuses on environmental sensitivity - particularly sensory-processing sensitivity - psychological well-being, gifted education, and higher education.
 
He is a registered psychologist and actively contributes to professional communities as a Council Member of the Malaysian Psychological Association, Vice-Chairperson of the Malaysia Educational Psychology Society, and Executive Committee Member of ABRIR (Advancing Big-team Reproducible Science through Increased Representation).

Dr. Brendan is committed to strengthening Southeast Asian representation in global research, drawing on Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity to promote more contextually grounded and inclusive understandings of human behaviour and well-being.
